OLIVER Mtukudzi and his son, Sam, wowed the capacity crowds at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, last Friday and Saturday The two concerts marked Tuku and Sam’s debut at this presitigious 32-year old festival that takes places in the small town of Grahamstown where Rhodes University is located Sam opened the concert with two solo numbers from his debut album, Rume Rimwe, and had the crowd chanting his name.

Thousands of guests in Hyde Park, London, have helped Nelson Mandela celebrate his 90th birthday with a mammoth concert.
The giant concert was held in the park to recognise Mr Mandela's birthday and his efforts in the global AIDS campaign.
